Items selected for the IMC are chosen with future educators in mind. The purpose of the collection is to expose education students to materials that they may encounter in the field of education for a variety of reasons. 

IMC materials support the curriculum in the School of Education, Health and Society, including those assignments dealing with bias or controversy in children's materials. Therefore, users should evaluate IMC materials with their intended audience and use in mind.

The Instructional Materials Center (IMC) houses resources to support Education majors studying at Miami University. Resources include literature for children and young adults, teacher materials to support and supplement PreK-12 instruction, and educational tests and measurements. IMC has also created resource guides to help identify materials of particular interest, e.g. award-winning books, multicultural resources, and teacher web sites. Please note IMC also houses the library’s video collection. 

IMC is located on the Ground Floor of King Library.
